Meet – Patricia Stock, newly appointed CEO of The South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), effective 1 December 2023, making her the first woman to be appointed to the position.
She is the co-founder and CEO of MGI RAS which is a member firm of MGI Worldwide.
Patricia is a strategic entrepreneurial accountant with commitment to people and organisations transformation. She is a Chartered Accountant (South Africa) and a Chartered Director (South Africa).
She holds a Master of Commerce in International Accounting from the University of Johannesburg, a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Honours in Accounting, a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting and a Certificate in Theory of Accounting from the University of Pretoria.
She also obtained a BBBEE MDP qualification with a distinction from the University of South Africa.
Patricia Stock previously served as a Senior Engagement Manager, Senior Audit Quality Control Specialist, Audit Manager, and Trainee Accountant at the Auditor-General of South Africa (AGSA).
She also served as a Non Executive Director at Delta Property Fund, Non Executive Board Member at Fasset, Non Executive Board Member at SAICA, Audit Committee Chairperson at Council for Build Environment, Audit Partner and Head of Transformation, and Associate Director at BDO South Africa.
